We're the co-founders of Tailored Education — and for the last five years, we've been inside NC schools building beginning teacher support systems that actually work.
We met working in an elementary school and have been building things together ever since. Between us, we've held just about every education role — classroom teacher to higher-ed professor — but our focus has always been the same: real support for real people in real schools. We started Tailored Education because we kept seeing the same thing: beginning teachers trying to survive without a system, and the people supporting them doing the same. So we built the system.
We built this space specifically for North Carolina.
Our work is rooted in NC's beginning teacher mandate and the specific pressures NC districts face — funding constraints, compliance requirements, and the challenge of retaining teachers past year two. We're not adapting a national program. We built this here, for here.
